     Benchmarking Nationwide Comparison with Performance of Other State Administative
     Hearing Panels

 DAL cost per hearing is 25% of the National Average among centralized administrative hearings panels, and 34% of the Southern Regional Average cost.

 Judges handle their caseload with no secretarial staff. Support staff are used to schedule cases for hearings, and Clerk of Court staff perform case docketing and document processing duties, but no judge has any assigned support staff- no bailiffs, no secretary, no paralegal, and no law clerks. Staff levels are very low.

 DAL support staff is 40% of the average. This is fewer than half of the expected need.
•  
 DAL's operation is efficient and cost-effective in delivering adjudication services.
